Date of Death changed from 1977 to 1997

[edit]

Date of Death is given as 1977. The only source for that seems to be OlympediaCite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).

Wikidata has two dates 11 Jan 1977 (referencing the wikipedia entry) and 11 Jan 1997 referencing Library of Congress, Library of Congress seems to have the 1997 date from an obituary in the American Alpine Journal[1], the 1997 date is also supported by the bio in the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame [2].

Her biography was published in 1984[3] and a review of that in the Jackson Hole News[4] makes no mention of her death despite the fact that her place of death was no more than 20 miles from Jackson Hole.

There seems little doubt that these sources all refer to the same person as the wikipedia article because they each mention her participation in the 1936 winter olympics (and all give the same date and place of birth). Babybrew6 (talk) 14:01, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
