What do you think about proposing this for Good Article review? Liz Read! Talk! 14:16, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know it's been a while since you asked... but I'm not sure this article is ready. The writing should be cleaned up, for one thing, but it's also somewhat short. What is here is sourced poorly. Personally, I'm surprised her role as first president at Radcliffe is glossed over. There is a new biography of her husband by Christoph Irmscher that might serve as a source to beef up some of this. Good luck. --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:59, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Title question

[edit]

Hello,

I have a question regarding the family name of Elizabeth. In fact, in this wiki page, it's written "Elizabeth Cabot Agassiz". However, other wiki pages (like the deutsch or the french one) use the name "Cary" instead of "Cabot". According to this source (Elizabeth's biography, page 32), Cabot and Cary are different branches of the same family. That means that the Cabot members were cousins to the Cary. Is there a confusion between the two names, or do you have a source asserting that Cabot is her last name? Sorry for asking such a specific question, but I'm really confused by this point. Thanks for your answer.
