I have a COI so will not edit this page directly but want to suggest some changes. (The COI is that I am Eliza Townsend's companion/partner.) My suggestions appear below:
First, Ms. Townsend is no longer ED at the Maine Women's Lobby/MWL Education Fund. Effective 1/1/2020 she is the Maine Conservation Policy Director for the Appalachian Mountain Club. I imagine we can find an objective citation for that fact; I haven't tracked that down as of this writing, but I am certain of it based on personal knowledge. I will add a citation here when time allows, unless somebody else spots it first.
Second, I believe that the isolated sentence about Ms. Townsend's endorsement of Ethan Strimling in 2019 and the outcome of that election is unrepresentative of her political activity generally or her current place in Maine politics where, on behalf of AMC, she is a vocal proponent of conservation, investment in public lands, responsible stewardship of forests, and related values and issues. Recognizing that it may be beyond the author's scope or intent to highlight those things, I would suggest at a minimum that the lone sentence about that endorsement be deleted as it skews one's impression of her activities subsequent to her elected and appointed government service.
In sum, I'd propose deleting the Strimling sentence and adding a reference to her current employment.
Thanks for considering these suggestions!CFDingman (talk) 16:10, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
