Do we actually know her birth status

Not everyone of African descent in North Carolina in 1864 was a slave. Do we have any actual evidence she was born as a slave, or is this being assumed based on her place of birth and ancestry without any actual sources supporting it?John Pack Lambert (talk) 16:03, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
