what about adding country sites etc, like elite model —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.187.31.116 (talk • contribs) 23:46, 6 August 2006
I have removed the Elite 'offices' of Sydney and Melbourne as these are fraudulent and not associated with Elite Model Management, they can be readded if someone has evidence to the contrary.

modelsobserver.com links
This and other Wikipedias in other languages have been relentlessly spammed by anonymous IPs based in Israel (where the domain is registered) for many months. It's gotten sufficiently bad as to warrant addition to the spam blacklist and I have removed a number of these links in anticipation of blacklisting:
- Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam#modelsobserver.com (permanent link)
- meta:Talk:Spam blacklist#modelsobserver.com (permanent link)
Most, but not all, had been added by the site-owner.
If an established, high-volume editor sees value to the specific link I deleted from this article, please let me know and it can be evaluated for addition to the spam "whitelist"

Elite Melbourne, Australia.
From what I can tell, Elite Melbourne, Australia is now known as Maverick Model Management ([[1]]) so as not to be confused with the scams. They have the same managing director, Erika Pek.

Links with America's Next Top Model
The "Links with America's Next Top Model" section is basically trivia, and of very little significance. when viewed in context of the agency. I propose that this whole section be deleted. ... MistyWillows talk 04:41, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- No one appears to have an objection, if no objection is raised, I will delete that section tomorrow ... MistyWillows talk 17:52, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Models past and present
Elite manages hundreds of models, there needs to be some criteria for who belongs on this page. I think that to qualify to be listed here, a model needs to have their own wikipedia page or have significant coverage on a Wikipidia page. There should be no unlinked or red linked names. ... re speedy deletiom
I put a hangon tag against the speedy nomination for this page. I just looked at one reference, and it was [BusinessWeek]], and the article sublead was "The legendary New York agency is on the block -- amid bankruptcy and lawsuits". If BusinesWeek is willing to call this entity "legendary", can they really be non-notable?
Now, the article content needs to be completely rewritten. I suggest that strong coverage be given to the bankruptcy and lawsuits, etc. I don't know as we need a list of clients etc., but any unsourced material should be removed. The entity may be a "fraud" as the nom says, but it may be a notable fraud.
I particularly enjoy turning spam articles into accurate articles, especially if the article subjects are crooks or blowhards; I've done this a few times. So I will do some of this work. I can't do it right away, though. Herostratus (talk) 16:51, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
the problem with people on here is that they don't understand the significance of fashion related topics. Elite Models is one of the largest agencies in the world. It represents supermodels and is a big part of fashion history. there needs to be more people participating in the fashion portal. the fact this article was neglected for so long is astounding.
I have deleted John Casablancas biography in this article. He is a small part of Elite. There are other important figures in Elite history. He is one of two founders. I can not undo the redirect of Casablancas to this article. Once that is done, I will rewrite his bio.
I have added the history of Elite as well as a list of agencies associated with the company.
If you wish to discuss anything regarding my changes or anything fashion related, please go to my talk page.
