There's a reference in the text to "an African American community in Paris" -- am I correct in assuming that is Paris, Kentucky? Ms. Citizen (talk) 20:36, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disconnect in DYK?

This article was featured in "Did you Know" on October 11. The DYK blurb stated that when Green " won a case for assault by a white minister in 1883, the effect was to increase pressure for segregation". The article says nothing of the sort, only that the decision did nothing to delay disenfranchisement of the African-American community and the growing movement towards segregation.Wkharrisjr (talk) 13:34, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are right - the tagline is wrong. The source for "did nothing to delay" discusses publicized incidents like this one which fueled tensions, leading to segregation. But the article does not say that. Aymatth2 (talk) 14:23, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
