allegation
[edit]Does someone actually have evidence that this was cheating? Yes, she was penalized for the decision to get back up and go for the medals, but I've seen no evidence that she fell intentionally or pushed others intentionally. I don't think we've been given evidence that merits calling it 'a disgusting act of cheating', and that description also seems to conflict with Wikipedia's aim of an encyclopedic tone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:304:44B6:DCF0:FA1E:DFFF:FED9:2B42 (talk) 16:30, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
worst Olympic experience
[edit]She probably had the worst experience of any 2014 GB olympian, and was the target of controversies and apparently even death threats. This could be expanded on (with sources)... AnonMoos (talk) 20:47, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Elise Christie
[edit]Have to laugh, at the top of the Article on Elise, it says Ingerlish speed skater, something Elise will never be, obviously written by a bitter wee ingerlish twat, nothing new there, elise is absolutely, completely, 100% SCOTTISH, still, some bitter wee people dont like that, and they talk about chips on shoulders, hilarious. I'm not aware that she's ever been described as English, but her nationality should be British for the purpose of this article (see below).Rodney Baggins (talk) 22:46, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Christie is a British (not Scottish) speed skater

In the above edit from 3 days ago, the word 'British' was changed to 'Scottish' in the first sentence. I have reverted this for the following reason.
Although Elise is indeed Scottish by birth, she needs to be described as British on this page because she is famous for being a British athlete who represents Britain when she competes for Team GB. If you compare with wiki pages for other speed skaters (for example Nicky Gooch, Charlotte Gilmartin) - they are all described as British.
If there are any objections, we could change the first sentence to something like: "Elise Christie (born 13 August 1990) is a British short-track speed-skater, originally from Scotland." (Bear in mind that she moved to Nottingham about 12 years ago.) She's also referred to as British in the last sentence of the intro, so we at least need to be consistent.

Competitive highlights table
[edit]This article is crying out for a Competitive highlights table so the achievements can be seen at a glance. The Sporting career section is falling apart at the seams, it's so full up now that it's just getting a bit confusing. Any takers? I can probably do it but it might take me some time because I've never done a table in a Wikipedia article before so it might be better if someone with experience does it!
