Someone needs to edit this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.112.110 (talk) 20:42, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added {{pov}} to the article, but I suggest you to replace it by {{lopsided}} in the specific biased sentences, so the article can be more easily fixed. Waldir talk 23:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, the whole thing looks like it's pretty much copied wholesale from a press release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.152.239.217 (talk) 17:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Then a {{pov}} {{advert}} box at the top of it is the right markup. I won't work on this article since I have other ongoing projects, but hopefully someone will drop in and correct the tone of the article. At least, till then, people who read it will be warned of its un-neutral approach. Waldir talk 18:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just removed the {{advert}} tag, thanks to the work of several editors (see history). Waldir talk 19:28, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are still sourcing issues with this article. I've removed the most blatant POV and peacock statements, as well as a quote that was unreferenced. Hopefully this edit will allow interested editors to build up the article with the addition of reliably sourced and neutral information. Cheers, --ponyo (talk) 16:08, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only referenced material on article just got trashed

[edit]

The only referenced item on this article just got trashed in this edit. Previously there was no mention of his personal life, his wife, or his fabulous lifestyle. This is all the more amazing because not a single other item in this article is referenced.Americasroof (talk) 17:07, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to have taken my edit personally. Part of working in a collaborative environment is that edits can be reverted or updated, which I have done here. I have no qualms with discussing why I made the changes I did.
  • First change:removing the age difference between the couple. This information is trivial and of a gossipy nature. It was also irrelevant to the information that followed.
  • Second change:removal of the listings and prices. Per WP:NOTNEWS the critical information is that Tahari has put property up for sale (and even this is a stretch). What lasting notability does this information impart? The prices should certainly not be included as real estate prices fluctuate constantly. If an argument was made that the properties and pricing should be included, then only the final selling price should be included as it is absolute - it will not fluctuate.
Your argument that it is the only source in the article is irrelevant, regardless of how many sources an article has, each addition of information and corresponding reference should be compliant with policy and guidelines when possible. Simply being the only reference does not merit being able to include whatever you want; it still needs to be relevant. The New York Post article used as a reference is written in a very gossipy tone as well, ("we hear that", "there are whispers", "they seem ready" etc), so it's best to stick to the facts when using it. As it stands now the information is neutral and referenced. When the dust settles follow-up information can be added as to how it all turns out. The edits I made where in no way an attack on what you added, it simply condensed the information in a way to avoid WP:NOTNEWS. Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 18:12, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
