Notes
[edit]This cannot be a true statement:
- "It was established by charter of the Illinois General Assembly in 1839 as a part of the University of Chicago."
At that time the University of Chicago did not even exist.03:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes, there is a tunnel that runs underneath some of the campus. It is highly unlikely that it was used for the Underground Railroad. Sears Hall was marked as a fallout shelter; public records should indicate if any other areas of the campus shared this designation.Delirium of disorder 00:15, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
new campus with Summit Academy
[edit]I haven't heard about a new campus on the west side of Elgin. Elgin Academy rented a building from Summit School from 2005-2007 which was called the River Road Campus. Could there be confusion here? Also Elgin Academy is building a new multi purpose building in the area of Hilltop Campus. bobthecow 20:45, 17 April 2007 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobthecow (talk • contribs) 20:44, 17 April 2007 (UTC).
