Equivalent german phrase

The equivalent german phrase is "sich zu benehmen wie ein Elefant im Porzellanladen", which translates "to behave like an elephant in the porcelain shop", which describes the situation more colorful. --MBelzer (talk) 07:16, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Except that the meaning of this German proverb is completely different from the English phrase. SchnitteUK (talk) 21:36, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
Not knowing much German (beyond "Eine Keine rose dorn") it nevertheless is forgiveable to assume that "Bull in a china shop" would be the equivalent of "Elephant in the porcelain shop". It WOULD be interesting to know what expression exists in German (if any) that expresses the human conundrum of an issue that is so pervasive and troublesome that hardly anyone can bring themselves to talk about it. 82.32.112.174 (talk) 07:54, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
