Bold copyediting, 27 May 2007

[edit]

The article was over-linked and particularly over red linked. I think I've cleaned it up so that someone that doesn't already know the subject can read and understand it. Can some one more familiar with "German/European TV channel ZDF/ARTE" edit that to remove the slashes and maybe link it to an appropriate article"?

Occam's razor: "It has since been performed around the world, including Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, USA and Australia." needed to be edited to "It has since been performed around the world." This is because nothing makes it clear why these countries need to be singled out; thus "around the world" is sufficient! --Charles Gaudette 19:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lesbian reference

[edit]

I think the one word paragraph should be expanded and put in context or deleted - it's not appropriate in this context Klynchk 00:17, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ZDF/ARTE

[edit]

ZDF is the second german television channel. Arte is a Franco/German publicly funded TV Channel available in France Germany. Klynchk 00:17, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

50th Birthday - 24 November??

[edit]

On 24th November, at 10:30 pm, ABC Classic FM is broadcasting a concert recorded earlier that day, with the Sydney Omega Ensemble. The broadcast is titled "Elena Kats-Chernin at 50". Page 101 of the November issue of Limelight magazine says: Tonight we celebrate the 50th birthday of one of Australia's most colourful composers ....". This suggests she may have been born on 24 November 1957, not 4 November 1957. On the other hand, it may just be in honour of her birthday, and not necessarily being played on the actual birthday. Any clues? -- JackofOz 04:30, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two operas? Three?

[edit]

The Antwerpen(Vlaamse) opera and the Stuttgart Staatstheater will be showing a (new?) opera of her with the title The Rage of Life, in April/May 2010, respectively. Is this already accounted for in this article? Thanks for looking into this. A reference is: http://operabase.com/listart.cgi?id=none&lang=en&name=Igor+Bauersima . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.79.150.55 (talkcontribs) 06:35, 7 September 2009

"Eliza Aria"

[edit]

This is the correct name of the piece. Not "Eliza's Aria". Please do not undo without checking. http://www.australianmusiccentre.com.au/work/kats-chernin-elena-eliza-ariawycombe (talk) 23:00, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This might be more obvious for editors if the corresponding article, Eliza's Aria, were named that way, Eliza Aria. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:44, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
