[edit]I'm delighted to see that photo, but so disappointed to see Big Mysteries, mostly below the lover stator plate/sector, with no explanation!
As well, do the plate shapes in the engraving yield a linear scale? I have my doubts. Is torque prop. to the square of the voltage?
Sensitive Research had a firm policy that all repair muvt be dote by them. Some, maybe all mowements were held together by four similar screws. One of the four had threads of slightly–different pitch, far from being visually obvious. When somebody else worked on the movement, chances were likely that on reassembly, there would be a pitch mismatch that would cause a screw to bind after several turns, and it would be the devil to remove.
