Definition of E-Waste

Suggest include a statement to the effect that, "E-waste can include several categories of consumer electronics that are determined to be obsolete by its owners, who subsequently seek a disposal solution."

Legality?

Indeed, there have been violations of the law in exporting e-waste, but most of it is perfectly legal.. we Americans are just too lazy and greedy to pay for our own ewaste recycling. I'm not sure it's fair to say that in most cases it's illegal, though. Lequis 22:54, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Lead section addition.

Just finished fleshing out the lead section. Feel free to make any necessary adjustments or additions as you see fit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunmarsh (talkcontribs) 02:53, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

The image Image:WEEE man.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

"Countries that enforce electronic recycling" section

This section is a long list (in an awful vertical format) with no additional info. Also the ref given is far from suitable for WP. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 21:40, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
