Merge?
[edit]This seems simerlar to other articles including Electromagnetic field and Electromagnetism could we do a merge? The lack of activity on the talk pages implies this page is not used much. Alan2here 20:42, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- How about merging with Lorentz force. Tttrung 09:29, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- These are both bad ideas. The electromagnetic force page has over 70 articles connected to it and it is one of the four fundamental forces; there's also articles on electrostatic force, electromotive force, electric force, magnetic force, etc., they are each specfic terms and do not need merging. --Sadi Carnot 16:09, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree with this, merging the articles would produce a mammoth of an article IMO. --ScienceMind (talk) 19:23, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- I went ahead and merged this article in to Electromagnetism using the following rationale:
- Although there are articles on electrostatic force, electromotive force, electric force, magnetic force, etc, those articles describe various subsets of Electomagnetism, whereas the Electromagnetic force is Electromagnetism.
- More than half of this content was duplicated in that article already.
Induced EMF
[edit]Would it be posible to link this to Induced EMF from phonominon like lightning? SkippyUK 11:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
