Sourcing
[edit]While I know ESI is rather notably, we need better sourcing. The Portland Business Journal and The Oregonian should have plenty that will not only demonstrate notability, but also greatly expand the article. Likely even Oregon Business magazine (I think that's the name). Aboutmovies (talk) 05:45, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- And if someone has access to the Oregonian archives, it might be worth adding that they are one of the companies that Beaverton cannot forcibly annex as related to the Nike fight/legislation. Aboutmovies (talk) 05:23, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- I don't have access to The Oregonian’s archives, but I was able to locate just enough in the paper's free archives and other free sources to be able to add a paragraph on the 2005 (successful) effort to restrict Beaverton from annexing certain properties—including ESI's—without consent. I'm not sure of whether where I placed it within the article is best or not. The article needs more subsections. Also, if someone knows how to add geo-coordinates for the HQ location, please do so. (This would also help show ESI's proximity to the HQ's of Columbia Sportswear and Leupold & Stevens.) SJ Morg (talk) 12:00, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have nom'd it for DYK and will add coords shortly. And yes, the annexation bit should be moved to its own sub-section in the history section, and we should probably note Leupold & Stevens then got de-annexed after a court fight (which the annexation bit should probably be added to that article too).
