[edit]E. Shamblin was recognized in a late Rolling Stone writeup as one of the nation's very best Rhythm Guitarists. He not only set arrangements for Wills, but his playing became the standard by which all following guitarists used until the early 1950's where a more important use was found with doo-wop, rock-a-billy (an out growth of Western Swing). It came to the fore front and added the driving sound for generations to come even up to the time of Eric Clapton and the present era.
