Name needs translation
[edit]This page needs an English translation or approximation of the show's title, or what or who Meneo is. Scarykitty 05:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- I could not agree more -- nearly 13 years later, and still no translation ferkrisake! Anomalous+0 (talk) 03:34, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- Here is a dictionary page with meaning of meneo. el = the, meneo = many meanings, de= of, la= the, mañana =morning. The thing is when translating Spanish to English-well let me give you an example "Clase de español" would literally be "class of Spanish" but correctly would be "Spanish class". The word "de" is, many times, part of the noun. The reason why there is no translation on this is that no one found the article because it was an orphan article and not tagged with the Puerto Rico project. The translation might be then, Morning Movement, Morning Shake, Morning Shake Up, or something to that effect. I think, and I may be wrong because even though I teach Spanish / English that doesn't make me an expert- I think it may be even more complicated. El meneo refers to the movement, the shake, the shaking, the wiggle, the wiggling, the shake up. Not having ever listened to the station until now I would think it's your regular morning show that wants to wake people up, get people shaken up in the morning. Since there are 22 countries where Spanish is spoken, another Spanish speaker may translate it differently. But that's the general gist. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 13:12, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
