Instead of citing the Texas Observer "Eminent Disaster" article using a 'Highbeam' link, i suggest using the Texas Observer's actual article URL: https://www.texasobserver.org/2483-eminent-disaster-a-cabal-of-politicians-and-profiteers-targets-an-el-paso-barrio/

not only is this the original publisher's page, but it also does not require a paid subscription to access.

I'm a first-time editor. I attempted to learn how to change this EXISTING reference from reading the 'beginners' info about references. But nothing i saw there had anything to say about how to CHANGE an EXISTING reference. And attempting to edit it directly in the WikiP article, seemed not possible (as well as being perhaps "dangerous" for a newbie to attempt w/o better how-2 guidance).

If any 'veteran' - or at least more experienced - Wikipedian would point me to any info source about editing (changing) an EXISTING link, i'd be grateful. Otherwise, i must leave this to someone else to actually implement in the article.

Thanks,

Hey folks, I'm a first time editor to Wikipedia. I am currently under the gun in one of my college classes in order to add information on the topic of Mexican American Women. I have chosen to add a contribution to Wikipedia on the subject of the Houchen House. I am planning on highlighting the Mexican American women who attended and eventually took over the House when they became adults and the contributions they made to the House and community. I am also wanting to add how the neighboring community of Segundo Barrio (women in particular) felt about the House and methods used to attract Mexican American's into the assimilation practices used by Methodist staff. Any comments or source material would be greatly appreciated. I am receiving the majority of my knowledge on the topic from Vicki Ruiz's book, From Out of the Shadows. Thanks for any help I receive. ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by Austinmedley88 (talkcontribs) 18:38, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
