Linking
[edit]@MelanieN: You're more familiar with American politics articles than I am; I was wondering if there are places this article could be linked from, including in "See Also" sections, that I'm not thinking of? Vanamonde (Talk) 21:46, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ping, Vanamonde, interesting article! I DABed one link and made
onetwo categories more specific. The wikilinks in the text suggest some possible additional places to link from. It might be possible to mention this article at Young Lords and Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I think it should probably also get an entry at Stateside Puerto Ricans#Political participation. I'll see what else I can think of. -- MelanieN (talk) 23:33, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- Would it be accurate to describe them in this article as a police accountability organization? Would it be appropriate to list them among the "organizations" at that article? -- MelanieN (talk) 23:57, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- @MelanieN: Thanks, that's very helpful! I've added a sentence to the "Legacy" section at Young Lords. I'll try to figure out how to include them at Stateside Puerto Ricans#Political participation and Sunset Park; there's little mention of organizations with a similar profile...any suggestions would be helpful. Re: police accountability; they've been described as a "police watchdog", which to me is equivalent; so I've added a link there, too, with a source. Vanamonde (Talk) 02:44, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

- New enough (June 11), long enough (2,129 characters), neutral, well-cited to good sources, no worriesome close paraphrasing or copyvio issues. Hook is nice and short and interesting, cited in article to ref 8 and in ref 8. The article and source both say "photographing" whereas filming implies video recording I think? Maybe "...frequently records" or "...frequently photographs the police"? QPQ is good, no image to worry about. @Vanamonde93: —Collint c 20:15, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Bobamnertiopsis: The source clearly implies "films" later, but to be on the safe side, I've amended the hook to read "photographed". Vanamonde (Talk) 20:25, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: Looks good to go! —Collint c 22:24, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
