"El Condominio" was the offspring of the comedy segment "Veinte Pisos de Historia" which was part of Mojena's program "De Noche con Iris y Sunshine" hosted by Iris Chacón and Sunshine Logroño in Telemundo Puerto Rico (channel 2) and not "Los Apartamentos" as mentioned in the article. Iris Chacón left the show after a short season and the program was then known as "De Noche con Sunshine" and hosted only by Logroño. I cannot cite specific dates or sources for this except that the original program aired during the late 90's. This is from my own recollection of the history of this program.

Unseen characters
There were two characters that were only heard in the program and never seen:
Don Eleuterio Quiñones - in the voice of Sunshine Logroño. Don Eleuterio is Elpidio's father and was heard calling by phone to the condominium in a few episodes.
Segismundo's mother - in the voice of Cristina Soler. She was allegedly an elderly woman that could no longer take care of herself and was living with his middle-aged single son who took care of her. She was on a wheelchair and had a Foley catheter due to her incontinence. She was heard calling through the building's intercom system and more often than not was bugging his son and trying to break what little dates or relationships he tried to grab. In a few episodes she was actually outside the apartment but the only thing visible were her feet and the front wheels of her wheelchair.
