[edit]The eighteenth dynasty history should be continued. To signify if the decendents of the dynasty in fact where Black Moores that conquered Europe. If the dynasty had anything to do with black or white slave trade that effect us today. If so when did this adventure start in Africa into Europe.
- Could someone please make an image of this (or do something)? As it is right now, it looks very sloppy and professional, not to mention harder to read. — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 07:02, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- This would mean a new upload every change. What should be done is a system rather link the time line, so that we can build the graphic from this entry. Anyone know how to do this (as there are loads of family trees on wikipedia that would improve if this was done) ? Markh 14:32, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Answer!
[edit]Have a look at this ....
Other Stuff...
[edit]I added question marks for stuff that is uncertain, and also, could someone add Anen, son of Yuya and Tjuyu, since I have just about no idea how to.mikey 18:53, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Also, could someone either get a reference to Tey being daughter of Yuya ant Tjuyu, or else remove her and just list her as Ay's wife, as I have never heard her being identified as their daughter.mikey 20:40, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- There is lots of uncertain stuff here! I tried to get the lines to be broken for dubious links, but need to go through again. I think that I have incorrectly tagged Tey as daughter of Yuya. Will correct later. Markh 11:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Meritre
[edit]Hatshepsut didn't have a daughter called Meritre. The only documented child of hers is Neferure. Thutmose's wife Hatshepsut-Meritre was thought to be Hatshepsut's daughter, but that theory was proven wrong. – Alensha talk 18:12, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I couldn't figure out how this tree is edited and didn't want to mess it up :) – Alensha talk 20:32, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Umm... Markh?
[edit]Umm... I think you just removed the relation between Yuya and Tuya to Tiy. Now, I remember sitting in egyptian history and being told to my face that Yuya was the father of Tiy, and lest I find that that was an outdated hypothesis, I went and looked in Shaw's dictionary of ancient egypt, and it says he was as well. It's his possible relation to nefertiti and Ay which are more hypothetical, and even there we'd be remiss if we didn't include the possibility. Umm... are you sure about that change? Thanatosimii 16:26, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
The confusion might have arisen from the fact that there were two Tiys. One of them was the daughter of Yuya and Thuya, sister to Ay and wife of Amenhotep III. The other was Ay's wife, but I've never heard about she being also his sister, and it's extremely unlikely they were, as brother-sister marriages didn't really occur outside the royal family. As for Amenhotep's-wife-Tiy being the daughter of Yuya and Thuya, that is well documented, Amenhotep himself clarified the matter on the so-called "marriage scarab" [1]. – Alensha talk 20:31, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Then perhaps that should come back... Thanatosimii 04:40, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- No its really difficult to maintain the template, and I am clumsy! Markh 19:04, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
More fiddling
[edit]I haven't a clue how to do this, or I'd do it myself, but someone should make Tao I and Tetisheri link to both Tao II and Ahhotep I, since they're both their children. Thanatosimii 21:27, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- The template is maddenly fiddly, but the talk page is quote useful – Template_talk:Familytree. Markh 23:01, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Unknown relationships
[edit]Shouldn't there be a question mark next to uncertain relationships, such as Ay being son of Yuya, and Nefertiti and Mudnedjemet being daughters of Ay, Sitamun as sister or daughter, etc.? When I put them, most of them get removed. Wouldn't it make sense to have them? mikey 17:08, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, nevermind, I see those dotted lines apparently for uncertain relationships. Maybe someone should make it more clear what they are for. mikey 17:12, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've done this in the intro now. Need to work out how to show relationships like a father having a daughter as a consort. Any idea how this would be shown in a real family tree ? Markh 20:46, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
