Alright, I fixed up/added a few albums. When I get some more time I'm going to try to go a little more in-depth and bring all of the Eidolon-related articles up to par. WinterSteel (talk) 00:51, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The deletion debate was closed as keep due to number of reliable sources mentioning the band. Since most of those sources mention the band only in context with Megadeth, there is not enough text about Eidolon itself to cover a quality article. I think that merging is a logical choice. If we can't reach a consensus, I suggest moving the page to Article incubator in order to see if it can be improved, though I seriously doubt that. — NikFreak (leave message) 15:47, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since no one is replying, I am beginning to assume that merging can be started tomorrow. If someone has an objection, this would be good time to explain your points of view. Otherwise, I will begin to merge the article with Megadeth in next 5 days. Regards. — NikFreak (leave message) 13:10, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, the AfD already established that a separate article is warranted, as multiple criteria of WP:MUSIC are met. If you believe the closing admin was mistaken, you can take it up with them, or go to deletion review. I didn't participate in the AfD, but I think the closing admin was completely correct, for what it's worth. I've added several references to the article just now. Actually, I have already talked to admin about that. In AfD discussion we agreed that the sources mentioning the band are reliable. However, everyone who voted for deletion also agreed that the sources mentioning the band in context with Megadeth aren't enough to make a standalone article. The closing admin said that there was only one way the deletion nomination could end (since even the ones who voted for deletion agreed that there are enough reliable sources to pass notability), but he also said that the merging can be done if necessary. As I can see, the only significant source is the Allmusic one. I believe that encyclopedia would be improved with such articles being merged with ones of greater importance. Since I am not the one to decide that on my own, I took it here for discussion. If we disregard notability criteria for a second, a stub of this quality shouldn't exist on Wikipedia on it's own. If someone wants to try and rewrite the article, taking informations from all the sources mentioned in AfD discussion, be my guest. But I do not believe that it can be done and I would like to start merging in 4 days. It is always possible to revert the edits and recreate this article if someone decides he can improve it to a decent quality. I definitely do not intend to leave the article the way it is now. I am offering one solution. If someone has a better idea, feel free to discuss about it here or take it to my talk page. — NikFreak (leave message) 13:31, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
