bks96's Peer Review of Egyptian Penal Code
[edit]I was immediately impressed by the research presented in the article. You did well at being thorough with how you cite sources. Personally, I would like for the sources to be more quickly accessible, like through links, but I understand why this is not possible.
The logic of the article is immediately clear to me; however, I think that the the "Criminal Law" header could be moved so that it precedes "Structure," since I think that the information provided under Criminal Law is more important than how the law is organized.
I think most improvements that could be made are all related to style. The language used could be both more concise. For example, in the history section, specifying that the following sections are in chronological order might be redundant as the introduction in that section and presentation of headers inherently suggests to me that the following information will be presented in chronological order. I also think that it could be more neutral. For example, did the author of source [3] mention that the creation of mixed courts was the "main element" that facilitated major criminal law reform? And did the author of [2] specify that the purpose of a state is to protect its citizenry? Minor cleaning to do, but otherwise a great article. Bks96 (talk) 22:39, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
Haruka's peer review
[edit]Haruka's peer review You did an amazing job sourcing your article. I think it could perhaps be improved by having internal links to other wikipedia entries that could go further into detail on a subject. I think that's probably something you do at the end, though, so I understand that its not complete yet. I like the way you have divided your article and it gives a clear idea of what you will be researching. I wonder if it is possible to talk about the development of the Egyptian penal code without also heavily devolving into the history of Egypt and its politics. It would provide important context for these developments but could also run the risk of bogging the article down in extraneous information. For this reason, I think the internal links are vital to this article, so that you can make references to events without having to discuss them heavily beyond their relevance to this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Haruka Senju (talk • contribs) 23:23, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
