Manslaughter?
[edit]From 18 October 1989 (assuming office) to 9 Nov. 1989 (when he allowed the wall was opened)? How many Germans were killed during this short period when climbing over the wall? Andries (talk) 13:38, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Exactly, zero.
Egon is a good man and should have been given a chance during Die Wende - de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Für_unser_Land — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.26.163.16 (talk) 01:29, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Ethnic origins
[edit]What is Egon Krenz' ethnic background? Does this tie into his origins in Pomerania? He can't be German or Polish, so does anyone have reliable material to this effect? Of course, I knew many contemporaries who insulted him as a Communist Jew, but I'd like to have more scholarly evidence if anyone has any. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.12.210.36 (talk) 17:30, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Some Kashubian/Baltic Germans look surprisingly "exotic." Like Guenter Grass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Willy_Brandt_Guenther_Grass.jpg 69.171.160.155 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:05, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.
The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 04:31, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
