Can I ask why the format "the Emperor Henry IV" was changed to "Henry IV, Holy Roman Emperor" and "the future Emperor Lothair II" to "future Lothair III, Holy Roman Emperor"? It seems clunkier and less accurate now. Clunkier because the new method forces the addition of commas and future now modifies "Lothair III", which is not wrong, but less typical: it is important that he was later emperor, not later enumerated "the Third". Finally, it is less accurate because the term Holy Roman Emperor is not current for Lothair and Henry (in fact, they were not even the III and IV emperors of their names: that's why Lothair II). I won't revert it, but I think it was a silly and pointless modification. Srnec 06:14, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would this be the chap who commissioned the Codex Egberti aka Egbert Gospels, presumably now his main claim to fame if so? Johnbod (talk) 21:15, 11 December 2007 (UTC) Ok, thats Egbert of TrierJohnbod (talk) 21:20, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
