[edit]This list is so incomplete that one wonders if there is any point in having it. It is helpful to warn the reader of this. Please do not remove the heading "later people" which is necessary to distinguish between the Edwin/Eadwine Anglo-Saxons and just Edwins. By all means find a better wording if you like. - Please read edit summary before reversing! These lists are not intended as complete acccounts of everyone notable by certain names and they will always be incomplete. That's not even worth noting, much less adding to a heading. Also, dividing the list up in newer and older people sets a bad precendent for WP. What are we supposed to perceive is meant by just Edwins - hardly a factual term? Is there supposed to be some type of second class Edwins, according to WP? All names normally derive from older forms/uses. Let's not get in way over our heads and complicate these things beyond all manageability, please!
