[edit]I have removed a large portion of this section. The text removed read, "For years Bok was the second best technical school in the state,[citation needed] but as of 2010, Bok is ranked as the number one technical high school in the state.[citation needed] U.S. News & World Report listed Bok as one of the best 9 high schools in Philadelphia, and in the top 100 high schools in Pennsylvania.[citation needed]"
The closest thing to a source given is saying USN&WR listed. However, the top 100 list at their website does not include Bok. Their listing for Bok lists them with a "Bronze Medal", which means, "either do not offer AP or IB or do not achieve a college readiness index of at least 20 but successfully meet the other two key performance indicator criteria". As the magazine ranks the schools by AP and IB scores, there does not seem to be any way that they listed Bok at #9 in the city and in the top 100 in PA. Additionally, I am unable to find a PA only list. - SummerPhD (talk) 03:11, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well, now I've found a page on their site that lists nine schools in Philadelphia County that, "were placed into gold, silver, bronze, or honorable mention categories." That is not clearly saying that USN&WR said they were "one of the best 9 high schools in Philadelphia." - SummerPhD (talk) 03:13, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Principal's Message
[edit]I have twice removed this material as unencyclopedic and trivial. Virtually every organization, school, club, etc. has a founder's statement, organizational objective or similar. We do not, as a rule, include them. The rare exception would be when the statement has become noteworthy in some way and has received coverage in independent reliable sources. - SummerPhD (talk) 15:32, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
2010 attack on 2 Asian students
[edit]Found a Philadelphia Inquirer article about a bullying attack on two Asian students:
- Gambacorta, David (2010-09-21). "2 Chinese-American students attacked at Bok". Philadelphia Inquirer.
