Very rough initial stub. I came across Edward Shann while reading [1], which discusses the economic history of Australia. Most of the details of his life come from [2], which contains much more information than what I have put in the article.
Really I was just surprised to see that someone who is apparently so well-regarded in Australia wasn't covered by WP at all, but I'm not an expert on Australian economics or academics so I thought I'd just throw out a quick stub.Eniagrom (talk) 16:26, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'd add also that the circumstances surrounding his death are somewhat mysterious apparently and remain a source of controversy ... could make an interesting DYK if fleshed out.Eniagrom (talk) 16:30, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Using the links above (mostly the Australian Dictionary of Biography) I have fleshed this article out to start class. It currently depends far too much on a single source, so it would be really great if other editors could diversify it a bit. Eniagrom (talk) 16:01, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
