- ... that in 1763 the slave ship Briton, owned by Edward Parr, was surrounded by 10 war canoes?
- Source: Ref 1 in the article says:"...surrounded by ten war canoes. The Briton had come from even farther away. It belonged to ...Edward Parr, merchants of Liverpool..."

Overall: All but one sources are offline so I have to assume good faith on the hook and text. The available link is not plagiarized. I did a minor copy-edit, nothing major. The article is new and long enough, the QPQ was performed correctly. And as I got nothing else to review, the pictures are PD or free to use. (CC) Tbhotch™ 02:38, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
To T:DYK/P4Date of death inconsistent with years operated
[edit]"Parr was a member of the African Company of Merchants, he operated out of the Port of Liverpool between the years of 1750 and 1768." Does it mean the African Company of Merchants that operated over those years? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caferoma (talk • contribs) 03:54, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
