[edit]He is a member of the new Judicial Appointments Commission for choosing judges in the UK. This is an important article about the constitution of the UK as for centuries the Lord Chancellor has had the power to appoint judges. JRawle (Talk) 16:54, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Do not delete roll play section again especially as Jedi is now officially accepted in UK census as a religion. See Jedi Census Phenomenem and uk has a Jedi member of parliment. Deletions from outside the UK show lack of knowlege of the importance of this matter in Uk. Mr Nally is clearly an important figure in the Fantasy reenactment movement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.104.125.157 (talk) 21:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed. In that case, perhaps you could provide some official document or reference that corroborates your assertions as to his midichlorian count? Until that proof arrives, I'll persist in regarding that assertion as a nonsensical hoax unfit for an encyclopedia. For the rest of it, whatever rank he holds in the relevant organizations needs to be attested in the same way as his membership in the Law Society, by provision of reliable sources; material not corroborated by reliable sources is subject to being removed. Perhaps articles refering to Jesus should be treated the same way, in that case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.104.125.157 (talk) 23:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- That argument is known here as "other stuff exists" -- follow the link for the full explanation -- and isn't considered very useful. We're talking about this article, the subject of which is contemporaneous, not historical, and your apparent inability to confirm the remarkable statement that you have insisted on including with reference to this individual's "midichlorian count", and other corroboration that is required for his association with various organizations. Another specific policy that applies here is the biography of living persons policy -- I assume you're not asserting that Mr. Nally is deceased -- and that policy requires that statements about living persons need to be corroborated by reliable sources. In fact, corroboration of statements is a very basic principle here; you can find out more about it generally at this article and the specifics at this article.
