According to Edward's obituary, as published in The Birmingham News, 8 Jun, 1892, Wed., page 1, he died in 1892 and not in 1905. Text of that newspaper obituary: "E. M. Perine, of Pleasant Hill, one of Dallas County's most prominent citizens died Sunday."
