Expansion.
[edit]I'm in the process of expanding this with full references though I'll make existing wording more concise. JRPG (talk) 08:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Primary Sources.
[edit]Hi H2g2bob and thanks for your note on Primary Sources which I know was intended to be helpful. I'm not sure whether this is a simple mistake -or I've drunk too much wine- but all I'm claiming is that Garnier is noted by Hansard as having discussed eco-towns 20 times. This is done by a string search using theyworkforyou.com. If you're sure I've made a mistake, please leave a note and reinsert it. Regards JRPG (talk) 22:03, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
I've just realised you may not know that TheyWorkForYou is a reliable but searchable mirror of Hansard -and much used on Wikipedia. Have a look at BrownHairedGirl's comments on Talk:TheyWorkForYou JRPG (talk) 11:19, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Privy Council membership.
[edit]The title Right Honourable has in the past been awarded to the Solicitor General but no source been provided in Garnier's case.
He is not in the List of current members of the British Privy Council and I can see no press or website references other that a published letter from the DVLA -which may be wrong. I'm therefore removing this until some evidence appears. JRPG (talk) 17:14, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Recent appearences in Parliament also don't include the words Rt Hon. JRPG (talk) 11:12, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Family info
[edit]Eleanor Garnier - now apparently a political correspondent at the BBC - is asserted to be Garnier's daughter[1] and surely therefore is the "daughter (born September 1983)" in the article. I shall keep an eye out for reliable sources. Harfarhs (talk) 18:40, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Apologies to Jamousa, I only intended to remove the sons' names. Regards JRPG (talk) 22:07, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
