Questions just Questions Does anyone have any information on "Braddock's gold"? This is a legend I heard in Northern Virginia about cannon's, filled with gold, supposedly buried by General Braddock (or his men?) to prevent them being captured. Jwkinraleigh (talk) 23:05, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
I've read several accounts of the death of General Braddock, several of which mention Washington's role, none suggesting that Washington pulled Braddock from the battlefield. This article makes that claim but fails to provide a citation. I presume that earlier authors highlighting Washington's role would have included this detail if true. I think a citation is needed under the circumstances. Curlesje (talk) 18:49, 19 September 2010 (
Death
[edit]The infobox displays Braddock was killed in action at the battle of the Monongahela. When I search the article of the Battle of the Monongahela I see he's WIA, wounded in action. Now, did he die or did he get away? Kulter20 (talk) 07:53, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
