I created a template, Template:Education infobox which can give a quick at a glance demographics table for education articles. See its implementation at Education in the United States and feel free to help improve the template.--naryathegreat | (talk) 01:00, August 7, 2005 (UTC)
I like the template, and it could be applied here if someone could find the relevant statistics. I don't really know where to find them.--Sepa 17:02, 19 February 2006 (UTC)hiya
Tut wuri handayani?
What does the motto actually mean? --Bwmodular 08:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- As far as I know, it means: "following from behind". It's one from the three slogans of Ki Hajar Dewantara. — Indon (reply) — 09:40, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, and there were like, I Madyo mangun karso, something something. I'll try to find it. Cheers -- Imoeng 12:02, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Got it! check this out. Cheers -- Imoeng 12:03, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Dates of the school year
Greetings all. The page Academic term lists countries by the date/extent of the school year. North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania are almost exclusively represented on the list. This country has not yet been added onto the page. Would anyone be able to pop over, and give it a quick edit? Thanks, samwaltz 22:29, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Diknaslogo.JPG
Image:Diknaslogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Finance
One big aspect isn't covered: finance. To what extent do the parents of pupils in state schools have to pay? This is not a simple question. For example, I've heard that some parents can't afford to send children to a notionally free school, because the books essential to the course are not free and the parents can't afford them. So this is an important and interesting aspect of the system to explore and clarify.Llezsoeg (talk) 06:36, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Religion
Saying that Indonesia has "Religious Study" in their curriculum is missleading. It should be replaced with "Religion". Because that's what student learns in Indonesia. We call it "Agama" in Bahasa Indonesia. But I dont know any reference in English so I just put issue here. By saying "Religion" in curriculum, it is like the state has responsibility to teach religion to students through its schools. Well it's not very far from the truth. Wrong Statistics
In the section about "Public primary and secondary education", there are statistics about schools in Indonesia and cite Kuipers, Joel C. "Education". In Indonesia: A Country Study (William H. Frederick and Robert L. Worden, eds.).
I think the statistics are wrong. It only counts the public schools, the private schools are not counted. It is different from the statistics I got here: Sekolah di Indonesia - Satistik Wisnuops (talk) 04:29, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
Ups.. my bad. The statistics that I saw on [1] is including schools that are not registered. Probably the statistics here exclude those schools. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wisnuops (talk • contribs) 04:39, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Transferred text
I have removed a lot of this nice text from Secondary Education- WP:UNDUE is it any use to anyone here?
Indonesia follows the historical Dutch education system, where the secondary education consists of junior high school (Sekolah Menengah Pertama or SMP) and senior high school (Sekolah Menengah Atas or SMA); each takes three years. Usually a student continues to SMP at age 12 and starts SMA at age 15.
In the second year (grade 11) of high school (SMA), students can choose one of three majors: Natural Science, Social Science and Literature. At the end of the third year (grade 12), students are required to follow the National Examination (formerly EBTANAS) that affect students' graduation. High school graduates can continue their education to college or go straight to work.
Senior high education is not included in the compulsory government program, only the 6-years primary education and junior high education are, even though since 2005 there is en effort to make high school education compulsory in some areas, for example in the Bantul Regency of Yogyakarta.
