Many Costa Ricans speak English. Is the language of instruction there English, or Spanish? i love chesse

The language of instruction is Spanish. Many CostaRicans speak English, but it is indeed a foreign language. There has been some confusion internationally, because so many of us can communicate with English speaking foreigners due precisely to the "education in Costa Rica". How come the Castro-lovers never talk about Costa Rica's education system? Is it because that Costa Rica is able to have an excellent public education system without having to enslave the entire population under communist rule, because the implication of the Castro-lovers is to make it appear that excellent public education, and communist rule, cannot be seperated from one another. 134.74.74.34 15:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I wanted to improve the article(so sad to see an article empty for years), but I've been confronted to the lack of reliable and recent sources. I have done what I could with what I had... hope it will be of some help.

Nonetheless, there is a big document made by the IBE-UNESCO that could help (it's in the references). Pb: it is in spanish ! There must be lot of things to take from that document though... if someone speaking spanish could have a look at it, it would be cool. KaptainIgloo (talk) 15:55, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
