[edit]Could we have some more information on what he's done on the field, rather than off it?

It appears as if he wrote this himself. "One of the greatest"? Please. There are probably 100 Brazilian players who have played in more than one World Cup, if you can call what Edmundo did as playing, as he appeared for a total of 33 minutes in 7 World Cup matches, hardly a performance worthy of "one of the greatest."
he was one of the greatest, and he still is. If you watch one of his games, you can clearly see how good he still is. Just because he didn't play in the world cup very long doesn't mean anything. The only reason Zagallo left him out was because of his temper and attitude. Soccer-wise he is one of the most skilled players out there.
Also what about his temperament, it should be mentioned how it (might have)influenced his selection on the brazilian team etc. Im also curious how it might have affected his team performance.
It is stated that someone had personal problenms with him, isnt that unqualified. in what way? It seems more like a personal note than a fact. if so i think it should be removed.
Generally more neutral, more facts / history would be nice. less fan based. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.211.210.175 (talk) 11:53, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
playing time
[edit]It seems that this article seems to overlook the great majority of his career. There is only a brief overview of his entire career, and then a synopsis of the last few years. There was a time when he was among the best players in the world, it would be good to work this into the body of the article, instead of a throwaway sentence in the intro. I think we should paint a picture of his abilities (greatness?) and then describe his foray into obscurity. Mostly, I think it's important to describe his accomplishments too.
