The Irish Rovers' Song
[edit]The section on Cultural References states that the song Cold Winter Shadow is in reference to Edmonton, Kentucky. I haven't been able to find details on the song Cold Winter Shadow, however, the content of the song itself makes it difficult to relate to Edmonton Kentucky and much more likely Edmonton, Alberta. Are the Winters "long" in Edmonton Kentucky? Is Edmonton, Kentucky also located in the "Western" US? Are the roads "deep" with snow? I'm just wondering if Kentuckian Edmontonians consider their snow to be deep and their state to be West? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Baumgaertner (talk • contribs)
- Baumgaertner asked reasonable questions, and nobody has answered after three years. Also one of the band members has an association with Alberta. Also there is no citation to an RS that makes the Kentucky claim (and if there is one by now it might be because somebody believed Wikipedia). I reverted the edit that added the claim. Disclosure: I live in the big Edmonton. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 01:36, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
