Question

Did Edith die from a heart attack or stroke? This article says "heart attack," but the main All in the Family article says "stroke." Joyous 20:30, Feb 6, 2005 (UTC)

She died of a stroke. I'm absolutely certain of that and I confirmed that in a book I have on the show called "Those Were the Days." I'll fix the incorrect reference here. Thanks for noticing it. Moncrief 08:25, Feb 7, 2005 (UTC)

Edith's maiden name

I think her maiden name was Baines. Someone might want to mention that she had a cousin, Maude (Bea Arthur), who went on to have her own show.

Piano Teacher

what was her piano teacher's name?

Coincidence?

Edith mother's family name is "Mills". Edith's best friend Louise Jefferson family name is also "Mills". Coincidence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.126.88 (talk) 12:03, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Edith's family

Does it ever say in "All In the Family" if Edith's father is like Archie Bunker? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.126.88 (talk) 12:06, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Dingbat.jpeg

Image:Dingbat.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:13, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Not done The image is not subject for fair use in this article because this article doesn't discuss the newspaper story that this image is a scan of. —Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 03:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Archie and Edith meeting

1946, as you stated in "Writing the President" might not be correct, but it's belivable to me, the episode right before (the first one infact) was entitled "Meet the Bunkers" and it was state that that was their 22nd wedding annivarsary and since it was 1971 when the shoe debuedt I fugred that they married in 1949 and Gloria was born in 1950 at least that's how I figure it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.101.126.2 (talk) 03:14, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

Politics

As of July 26, 2013, Edith Bunker's name is linked to a Wikipedia category called "Fictional Republicans." Why? I'm not aware of any reference to her being a Republican. In one episode ("George and Archie Make A Deal" from November 30, 1974) Archie flatly states he is the only registered Republican in the Bunker household. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.131.23.153 (talk) 07:12, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
