While reading through various Wikipedia articles, I came across the All in the Family article, which mentions it was one of the first shows to feature rape. I Googled for information, and read entries in a book about this, various old news sources, and whatnot, and decided this should have an article on its own. It had a definite impact on television audiences at that time. Most newspapers don't have archives you can freely access from over thirty years ago, and those that do make it hard to search, having just a scanned in picture of the newspaper.
