SAVE THE EDGAR ALLAN POE HOUSE AND MUSEUM

[edit]

The city of Baltimore has cut funding, and since it is unlikely that the museum can be completely self-sustaining, it is facing closure in late 2011, early 2012. Please help!

This is a weird Wikipedia page!

[edit]

The article is full of external links. I used to think that external links should be placed at the end of the article. The reason I came here is: The E.A.Poe Society of Baltimore entertains a great website with many transcripts of Poe's texts, plus transcripts of texts on Poe. Unfortunately, the only way to inform them about errors, typos, etc. is by (oldscool, i.e. paper) mail or by telephone. I understand that they don't want to deal with masses of spam and viruses, but they should think about providing some web interface for submitting errors and typos. The one I found today is "“teat story", which should read "great story" in this page. --217.80.242.190 (talk) 21:32, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I definitely agree that external links should not be embedded into the text of the article. But your commentary regarding a different web site is irrelevant here. We certainly have no control over that site. --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:04, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
