I have added references to the fact the original suburb of Edenburg is commonly known as Rivonia. I will add a reference to the City of Johannesburg's property register when I have time. I bought a property in Rivonia in 1976 and was not able to find it in the Land Register under that name. I will try to find out how and when the name change took place. Is it worth adding a 'See also' to the stub for Edenburg, Free State? That's all you get when you search on 'Edenburg'. Colinvlr (talk) 02:52, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have made the description of the extensions clearer and added an external link to the City's map services. I can't make the link more precise beacuse the GIS viewer doesn't show the exact url for each view. Colinvlr (talk) 06:23, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As an Anonymous coward, I would like to point out that the Geo co-ordinates given for this town are incorrect. In short, they currently point to the wrong Edenburg, one located in a different province. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.41.209.146 (talk) 11:04, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting Clarification of Allegation in Introductory Paragraph

[edit]

In the Introduction, we have stated that "The name Edenburg is a source of confusion" & then we linked to another article (Rivonia).

So, is it safe to say that "Edenburg" & "Rivonia" are the same suburb (or one is part of the other)? & if this is to be true, why do "Edenburg" & "Rivonia" each have their own article?

Or should we assume that the writing in the Introduction of this article is a mistake (incorrect)? Is "Edenburg" actually a separate suburb from "Rivonia"?

We need clarification here! Starting an article with "this name is a source of confusion & the area is instead called this" doesn't look right to me. GeographicAccountant (talk) 03:27, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
