Fair use rationale for Image:Eden Sher.jpg
[edit]Image:Eden Sher.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]An image used in this article, File:Eden sher.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations

Jewish?
[edit]Sorry, but I had to revert this edit which claimed that this Tweet said she is Jewish, sorry to split hairs, but the Tweet actually does not say "I am Jewish", it is just implied, and we really need a clear self-identification in order for this to work. And, it is best if she says it in an interview with the press. Elizium23 (talk) 20:56, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
"Dorky"?
[edit]Hello! How is she "dorky"? Wouldn't "virginal" be better? "Dork" is another word for the male sex organ and when you call a boy a "dork" that's like calling a girl a "virgin". It also implies a flaccid phallus. (I would use "penis" here expect that it is Latin for "tail".) So is Sue "dorky" because she's like a boy who has never had an erection, let alone sexual intercourse? I'm just seeking clarification before I edit the word out. ;-) LeoStarDragon1 (talk) 09:49, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
- Please see the Wiktionary listing here: wiktionary:dork. The connotation of "penis" is listed as "obsolete". The intended meaning is (US, pejorative, slang) A quirky, silly and/or stupid, socially inept person, or one who is out of touch with contemporary trends. Often confused with nerd and geek, but does not imply the same level of intelligence. This seems to fit Sue Heck quite well. Elizium23 (talk) 13:52, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Suggestions for page improvements?
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedia editors! I am interested in helping to improve Eden Sher’s Wikipedia page as part of a class project. I was thinking about adding more information to the personal life section, which could use some development. My plan was to add information about her early life and the involvements she had that led her to her current day career. So far, I have found a few helpful sources (to which I've listed the links below) that can be used to add this information, but I am continuing to look for more. If you have any suggestions as to other parts of her page that could use some development or new sections that should be added to her page, feel free to let me know as I am willing to help improve this page as much as possible. Thanks!

- Thank you for your interest in this page. I would say you should go ahead and make some edits based on the sourcing you've listed above. Once you make some edits, I'll be happy to give you any feedback I may have on them. Safehaven86 (talk) 03:45, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

- After looking at the page, I can see that it could benefit from additional information on Sher's personal life and career. The articles you wish to source seem legitimate. I would also reccommend you switch Career and Personal Life. I noticed that on other wiki biographies, personal life is usually listed before career.
