Discussion
[edit]The little on this page is repeated on Eddie Stobard Ltd. --Richhoncho 20:21, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, this article should be about Eddie Stobart (senior) who started the company, but we need to sort out the merge first. Dbfirs 15:45, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- Rather than a redirect, I think the founder of Eddie Stobart Ltd probably deserves his own article, though it was his son Edward who expanded the company to world-wide fame. There is a biography of Eddie Stobart (senior) called "Only the Best will do" (or something similar). If I can find a copy, I'll create the article to replace the redirect, but if anyone else would like to make a start .... Dbfirs 16:42, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks to LRB2000 for re-starting. We need lots more on Eddie's early career. Can anyone help? (I think my copy of the book has been lent out) Dbfirs 09:00, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
- I wasn't able to locate "Only the Best will do", but did find a book called The Eddie Stobart story by Hunter Davies. Senator2029 (talk) 18:52, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
