Notability is not clearly established. Article should ideally be expanded so that it is clear, for example, if Dempsey is independently notable of Lynch and why (rather than refbombing (WP:REFBOMB), what do the sources say?). Is there substantial coverage of him, his activities, etc, in reliable, independent sources? Paul W (talk) 15:53, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot @Paul W; so he is assistant RMT secretary to Lynch; due to this relationship and RMT trade union structure, many articles are with both
Have added several articles from verified sources on just Dempsey as well
In Wikipedia articles, we don't usually have more than three citations to enable users to verify each statement - 11 is really excessive! It is not about quantity of sources, but quality and relevance. Better to be selective about the sources (choose the most reliable - WP:RS) and then perhaps review the source content to expand the article with relevant supported content. The Mick Lynch article uses an appropriate number of citations to support the statements, and gives a reasonably rounded description of him. Paul W (talk) 17:41, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Having reviewed most of the sources (and found a couple more), I have expanded the article a bit so that gives a bit more background and depth to the biography. Paul W (talk) 09:15, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
