Article subjectivity

[edit]

This article's pretty terrible. I know next to nothing about Edd Gould, and I could tell you that "an inspiration to millions of people" doesn't fit into the editorial standards of any encyclopedia. --67.11.33.234 (talk) 01:20, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I should probably try to keep a closer eye on this article for such issues, but no need for insulting the article. The people who make those types of edits are just trying their best to help (or so I assume the best of their intentions). Thank-you for bringing-up the issue. Also Tord Larsson has not been a part of Eddsworld for years, saying he is maintaining the show is just an insult to the people that are working hard on the new animation. Another thing, Thomas Ridgewell is the producer of the show, he does not animate. The latest episodes were animated by Paul ter Voorde. Please don't just throw information on-line without double checking. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edroov (talkcontribs) 13:31, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to improve this article, but it is semi-protected. First of all, I think a section called 'External links' should be added and Edd's official YouTube channel and his Newgrounds account (he had many early animations there that he didn't upload to Youtube). Also maybe you should add this article to the category Category:Cancer deaths in England?

YouTube upload/Filmography

[edit]

I think that the part about TacticalGuest619 uploading the 2004 Christmas special is sort of unnecessary. It should be removed, because it doesn't really need to be there. If it stays there, it should probably be changed to something like "The 2004 Christmas special was uploaded to Newgrounds. Gould never uploaded it to YouTube, although it was later uploaded by YouTube user TacticalGuest619. Plus, why is this in the early life section?

About the filmography section - It says Edd was the writer, producer, animator, and voice actor of Eddsworld. This is true. However, It says he was only an actor while working with TomSka (Tom Ridgewell) but I think this should be changed to animator/actor, since he animated TomSka's video asdfmovie2. There should also be more people added, since Edd did videos/collaborations with others as well. I'm sorry, but I don't think the person who wrote that did their research very well at all.

Edward Gould's Family.

[edit]

I have found a Electorial Roll from about 2006-2012 which shows occupants that lived in Edward Gould's dwelling. Here is the link: https://www.192.com/atoz/people/gould/edward/tw7/2323817806/ You see, Gould's supposed father Duncan (born 1957) has made a contribution but there is no authenticity. This roll shows that at the time the Gould occupants were: Susan M. Gould, Edward D. Gould, James R. Gould, Victoria M. Gould and George T. Gould along with some other residents with the surname Simmonds, a man and woman named Stephen and Philippa Clarkson, and a man named Jean-Pierre Bourdeau. A previous edit to the Wikipedia article said that Gould had a brother named James. But there is no way to prove if this James R. is his brother, father, uncle, cousin, etc. I just thought this would be interesting to put out there since I have been looking for Edward Gould's father. I hope this contribution will help find his father. Also, Gould does have his birth record on Ancestry but I do not have a membership and I cannot see the details. I will come back when I do get a membership. For now, use this information to add to the Wikipedia page if necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.26.83.200 (talk) 20:22, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edd Gould's Family.

[edit]

I have come back with some new info. So first off, Edd had a Tumblr post explaining that he had an older brother, an older sister, and a younger brother, who are James, Victoria, and George respectfully. Now James has been a debatable topic but Susan (Ibbotson) Gould's Twitter has a photo of a man with Susan and George who also appears in a Reddit post claiming to be Edd's brother. This man also appears in a post from Duncan Gould, Edd's father. Speaking of Duncan, he is verifiably the father because the same Tumblr post explains that his grandfather was born in Canada but resided in Los Angeles. That man was Graydon Gould, a famous actor, who lists a son named Duncan in his obituary whom he had while in school in England. I have also found Duncan's Facebook and Twitter but for privacy reasons, I decided not to link them. So, we have Duncan Gould, Susan (Ibbotson) Gould, James, Victoria, Edward, and George, and some step-siblings who are never named in the Tumblr post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.26.85.42 (talk) 01:42, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
