Ed Wynne (guitarist) → Ed Wynne – Ed Wynne is a disambiguation page which is no longer needed, and Ed Wynne (guitarist) is the only Ed Wynne on Wikipedia now. Λeternus (talk) 08:24, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:54, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
@Aeternus: Of the other links at the disambig page Ed Wynne, Ed Wynne (saxophonist) is still valid, and he is described as a member of The Doobie Brothers; and the "see also" link Ed Wynn also seems valid to me. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:54, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. Since Ed Wynne (guitarist) is the sole subject of a Wikipedia article bearing this exact name, it seems appropriate to delete the qualifier "(guitarist)" and to delete the disambiguation page. Hatnotes atop Ed Wynne, however, would be essential, indicating "For 2002 Doobie Brothers musician, see Ed Wynne (saxophonist)" and "For the actor, see Ed Wynn". Regarding the saxophonist, it should be noted that he was not a member of The Doobie Brothers, there is no mention of him in the text of The Doobie Brothers article and the only indications of his name appear among the "Substitutes/Guests" who performed with The Doobie Brothers within the single year, 2002. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 19:47, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
