There was no intentional disregard for the conflict of interest guidelines in the modifications made to this article. Review the history and judge for yourself; you'll hopefully see that the alterations were made to address inaccuracies with the data, and were written by a wikipedia novice.
With regard to the refutation below, Edsouth, while being one of the precusory entities to Edfinancial, was in fact originally named Volunteer State Student Funding. The company's name didn't officially change to Edsouth until the early 90's. One could imagine, though, that such a lengthy explanation could not easily be fit into the "Edit summary" text field within wikipedia, and would probably not be the most useful tangent on which to embark in a press release.
A corporate employee of EdFinancial Services has recently started editing this article, disregarding the conflict of interest guidelines. While I've left some of this editor's additions about the present state of the company, I will refute some of her claims with citations in regards to historical information.
Kcarlisle claimed that "Edsouth was not the precursor (it was Volunteer State Student Funding)" - however, this interview with a company executive claims otherwise. Also, this press release on the EdSouth's own website also backs up the original claim that EdSouth was the precursor. TheRealFennShysa 16:50, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
