Fair use rationale for Image:Olmedo.jpg
[edit]Image:Olmedo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:El nacional quito.GIF
[edit]The image Image:El nacional quito.GIF is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
The following images also have this problem:

Name
[edit]What should be the proper name of this level of Ecuadorian club football? This level is called Primera A, or Serie A, or Primera Categoría "A" but these teams are obviously the teams in Ecuador's Primera Division. So if you combined them, you get Primera División, Serie A (Ecuador)... or something like that. Should the name of this article be changed to reflect that?
The same would apply to Primera B.
Digirami (talk) 20:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I after doing some research, I think the division of Ecuadorian club football should be called Categoría. After coming upon an article discussing the format for the Serie A & B for 2008, they keep referring to the level below them as Segunda Categoría ([1]). So if there is a Segunda Categoría, there must be a Primera Categoría.
Anyone second that?
Digirami (talk) 07:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- I am out of touch from the Ecuadorian press to know what the everyday name of the divisions are, but I do not think you should infer from the name of the second level that the first level must be called something. The principal for naming is that which the greatest number of English speakers would most easily recognize, and if the name of the country is not in the article name, it will not be recognised. I notice that the Spanish Wiki has the article at es:Serie A de Ecuador, and in English Wiki, all the other top level South American leagues include the country in the article's name. I would suggest a rethink. Kevin McE (talk) 18:53, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, so I acted a bit to hastily (something for me to work on)... product of vast amount of spare time and wanting to improve articles on Ecuadorian football (of which I am a big fan). But the divisions in Ecuadorian football are called Categoria (see also [2] & [3]). Country name should be added now that you mention it. I have no idea what the English speaking public would call it since it is not exactly a widely followed league outside of Ecuador or South America. ESPN's website called it Primera A ([4]). So maybe the title should be Primera A de Ecuador.
