Proposed developments
[edit]Per a recent series of edits ([1][2][3]), I have undertaken a few summarisation exercises - to reduce the risk of this article (ostensibly intended for content covering the Economy of Cork) from turning into a coatrack (skewed towards republished news articles about each individual/proposed property development in the city). If its worth having a discussion, then I'm more than open to that (perhaps covering the extent to which property development should be covered - relative to the extent its an indicator of economic activity). In the meantime however, I think we should avoid issues with WP:UNDUE and WP:COAT (where we talk too much about one thing - to the detriment of the titular topic), WP:NOTNEWS (where we republish dozens of news links - without consideration to their lasting relevance), and WP:NOTCRYSTALBALL (where we talk about stuff - that may never happen). This article seems to have lost its purpose
[edit]The proposed development sectition is becoming problematic due to it being outdated. Eventually, as development in the city increases more and more, this list is going to either become insufficient or extremely long - and what is the benefit of even having it? As for the rest of the article, most if not all data comes from 2006 and 2011. Not exactly relevant to 2021. It isn't reflective of the actual Cork economy today and instead is more of a history piece
How should this article change to rectify these issues?
