ITC external link on trade data
[edit]Hello everyone, I am working for the International Trade Centre (ITC). I would like to propose the addition of an external link that could lead directly to the specific country’s trade data held by ITC. I would like you to consider this link under the WP:ELYES #3 prescriptions. Moreover, the reliability and the pertinence of this link can be supported by the following facts 1) ITC is part of the United Nations 2) No registration is required 3) Trade data (imports/exports) are regularly updated 4) The link gives direct access to the trade database of the specific country 5) The addition of reliable trade data to the Economy section of the country could provide an appropriate contribution to the information therein contained. Thank you for your attention.Divoc (talk) 19:06, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
References
[edit]Unfortunately, the second reference in this article links nowhere, and can someone provide a specific source for the beginning information; "Although Burundi is potentially self-sufficient in food production, the ongoing civil war, overpopulation, and soil erosion have contributed to the contraction of the subsistence economy by 25% in recent years"?
- Update: I resourced the information from the correct URL TreboniusArtorius (talk) 06:56, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Exports/Imports
[edit]The sidebar data on trade partners is from 2007, not 2018 as it states and completely inaccurate (for example it says Germany is the biggest trade partner, when recently it only accounts for ~3% of trade and exclusively in coffee, while UAE gold purchases account for 50% of all exports.
